after releases on kompakt, innervisions and bedrock this year marc returns to his mothership and elivers his first solo ep on his own imprint in three years.

after the great success of his new-classsical album voyage de la planete last year marc romboy releases a special 7inch single according to the album. and once again as he experiments with his sound pushing the boundaries between classical and electronic music to create both an emotional and atmospheric experience. the title track voyage de la planete was especially taped at the robert-schumann-saal in düsseldorf to create a highgrade recording of each classical instrument. the difference between a studio roon and a concert hall is remarkable. another highly acclaimed track, la lune et letoile comes along with an outstanding piano only version which improves once again that less can be so much more.

unless you re too young to know or have been living under a rock for the past twenty years, there s little chance that you haven t come across marc romboy s music in one way or another. the systematic recordings boss has had many irons on the fire since establishing his first imprint, the now defunct le petit prince - gathering an untold number of releases on labels as diverse as ovum, innervisions, rebirth or 20:20 vision in his two decades of intense activity. tracing back to 1994, when he used to rummage through the crates of delirium - the primitive incarnation of kompakt (closed and revived under its new name in 1998), the friendship between romboy and the kompakt family has largely withstood the test of time. after losing touch for a few years, romboy and michael mayer would resume contact during a festival in the south of france - a reunion that eventually led to systematic joining kompakt s distribution catalogue a couple months later.

petar dundov (music man, cocoon) and marc romboy (innervisions, systematic) have teamed up in order to release their first common ep. and when you take a listen to both tracks you realize that this was due! two pieces of tracks which underline the passion of both, music tha moves. garden of cyrus is a pure hybrid of boths sound signature. a sequence drives the track and doesnt leave your brain anymore. caper tran is a trip into space, you dont want to stopp this journey, the planets are all over sudden so close. watch out for further volumes by end of the year.

claude debussy (+1918) was one of the most popular and forward thinking composer associated with impressionist music. his innovative and at this time new way to compose music with non traditional scales and chromaticism inspired countless artists from the likes of steve reich, philip glass, miles davis and herbie hancock. remarkable attributes of his music were i.e. the usage of parallel chords, bitonality and many compositions of whole-tone and pentatonic scales and all this surely reminds us on contemporary electronic music where you hardly find limits or boundaries when it comes to traditional, harmonic sounding scale tone music. after studying countless composers of the last centuries marc romboy decided to accept the challenge to edit, remix and reconstruct several works of his favorite french composer, ranging from „la mer“ to -prélude à l après-midi d un faune“. romboy: „one sentence of debussy impressed me a lot when he said that he simply intents to write new sounding music. this is and has been exactly my goal, to create kind of unheard sounds“. on the album romboy performs together with the dortmund philharmonic orchestra, the renowned conductor ingo-martin stadtmüller, the well respected düsseldorf based concert master miki kekenj and sound programmer ali khalaj. the recordings was directed december 12th 2016. it s the first live recording ever released on an album where electronic sounds and classical components were merged in such manner.

marc romboy presents his upcoming album voyage de la planete his first solo full-length production in over eight years. released on his newly launched hyperharmonic label, voyage de la plantète signifies an exciting new chapter for marc as he experiments with his sound - pushing the boundaries between classical and electronic music to create both an emotional and atmospheric experience. the first impression of this new sound can be heard on this 10inch, the album opener monde futuristewhich blends together beautiful strings and soft flittering synths. while „monde futuriste“ merges the beauty of the violine played by miki kekenj and electronic arrangments, „voyage de la planète“ mixes the two mediums together with fluttering synths and a somber string quartet. inspired by a concert with the dortmund philharmonic orchestra where he performed claude debussy works in a contemporary way, this 10inch and the album signify the start of a new chapter for marc romboy. combining the strange, fascinating sounds of electronic music with the sublime beauty of classical music to create an extraordinary sonic experience for the listener.
